Kalamazoo County voters to decide 8-year childcare millage addressing affordability

“KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Residents in Kalamazoo County will soon have a chance to vote on a millage on ballot for the August primary election which seeks to address a shortage of affordable childcare options.

"Kalamazoo County is an existing childcare dessert," Jen Strebs, Kalamazoo County Commissioner said.

Strebs told News Channel 3 that the average American family doesn't have enough money to comfortably afford childcare.”
