Homelessness 5 years from now: Kalamazoo leaders share visions

KALAMAZOO, MI — The year is 2031.

The city looks different. Over a half billion dollars in new developments have reshaped the Kalamazoo skyline.

We asked leaders what policy they would enact if they had a magic wand, and which policies they are working to enact today. Those leaders include Kalamazoo Mayor David Anderson, nonprofit leader Judy Lowery, Kalamazoo Vice Mayor Drew Duncan, Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners Chair Jen Strebs and Kalamazoo County Housing Director Mary Balkema.
